Summary
Reyna Grande tells the story of her childhood living on either side of the Mexican/American border. Her parents left to cross over to America, and Reyna and the other kids are sent to live with their grandmother. Reyna's mother returns to prepare them for the journey to America, where she will live with her father. This captures the bittersweet aspects of childhood memories, the mixture of sorrow and joy that are forever embedded in the memory
