Summary
Piper Davis finds herself swept up in the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor, where her brother is stationed. Her father, a minister at a Japanese Baptist church, decides to move to Idaho when his entire congregation is taken to an internment camp there. Piper is uneasy about the change, though, mostly because her older sister gets to stay behind in Seattle and her brother, who survived the attack, is shipping out to the Pacific
