Summary
The Fromages ate no fruit. The Chéris ate no cheese. Rubio Fromage and Julienne Chéri were forbidden to speak to each other. And that might have been the end of the story, except that the two kids accidentally tasted the delicious flavors of the Fromage family's cheeses mixed with the Chéri family's fruits, and from that fateful day forward, they'd do anything to go on sharing the forbidden foods. But unlike Romeo and Juliette, this tasty tale ends happily, with the heroes sampling a menu of delicious fruit-cheese pairings from the book's closing pages. Which just goes to show, good food is never a tragedy
