Summary
First parcel, comprised of 64 acres "with the dwelling house of said John Burtis and other buildings, on the southwest part of said [Cow] Neck, which the said John Burtis purchased of Samuel Dorland," bounded on the north partly by the land of Benjamin Tredwell and partly by the land of Jacamiah [sic] Akerly [sic], on the east by land sold by the said John Burtis to William and Dobson Allen, on the south partly by the land of John Morrell and partly by the land belonging to the heirs of Charles Mitchell, and on the west by the creek [not named], "bounded on each side as the fence now stands."Second parcel, comprised of 6 acres, being "a little eastward [of first parcel]," bounded on the north by the land of George Onderdonk, on the east by the land belonging to the heirs of Minne Schenck, on the south by the highway leading to Hempstead Harbour, and on the west [again] by the land of George Onderdonk, "bounded as the fence now stands."Both parcels conveyed as "said land and premises to be held as tenants in common"..."with their appurtenances..."..."with all the buildings, orchards, fences, trees, wood, under wood, water, water courses, and all the rights and appurtenances to the one half of the above described.."Witnessed by Singleton Mitchill and Austin Chapman; acknowledged by Queens County, N.Y.
