Summary
ABBA, the international music sensation of the 1970s, is captured on tour by director Lasse Hallström in this lighthearted look at the lives of the pop stars. Part "mockumentary", documentary and concert film, 'The Movie' is a record of ABBA's 1977 tour of Australia, with a fictitious plot revolving around radio disc jockey Ashley Wallace's attempt to obtain an exclusive, in-depth interview with the group. ABBA is shown performing a number of songs, including the mega-hits "Dancing Queen" and "S.O.S."
