Summary
In the early 1990s, Saddam Hussein destroyed the Mesopotamian Marshes, once the richest wildlife habitat in the Middle East. Now one man is making an extraordinary effort to restore both animals and people to the scene of one of the greatest ecocides of the twentieth century. Is it a dream too far?
